Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker reiterates commitment for the protection and conservation of Gauvansh

While reiterating his commitment for the protection and conservation of Gauvansh, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh Gian Chand Gupta said that it would be ensured that no Gauvansh roam around on the roads in Panchkula. He said that new Guashalas have been constructed to provide shelter to the stray cattle. Apart from this, a Nandi Shala is also being built in village Kot.

Sh Gupta was addressing a programme organized on the occasion of Makar Sankranti at Gauvansh Sevadham Panchkula, in front of NIFT, Sector 23 here today.

While greeting the people on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Sh Gupta said that in our scriptures, the cow has been given the status of a mother in which 33 crore deities reside. Sh Gupta said that he has taken a resolve to make Panckula free from stray cattle. In the last few years, Gaushalas like Kamdhenu Gaushala, Mata Mansa Devi Gaudham, Madhav Gaushala in Sukhdarshanpur have been established where stray cattle are being provided shelter. Apart from this, Gaushalas are also being run by the cow devotees for which every possible help and assistance is being provided by the State Government.

While appreciating Gauvansh Seva Dham in providing necessary treatment and shelter to cattle suffering from lumpy skin disease, he said that cattle not only in Haryana but also in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and several other states of the country got affected from lumpy skin disease. Describing cow as mother, he said that no service is greater than the service of cow. He said that cow urine is used as an effective medicine in treating various diseases.

On this occasion, he also honored the team of doctors of Gauvan Dham and Gau Rakshaks and also distributed blankets to the women serving cattle . Later, Sh Gupta also went around Gauvan Dham and took stock of the facilities being provided to the cattle. He also offered jaggery to the cows and also performed Havan.
