Delhi Police arrests 3 auto lifters with 5 cars stolen from different parts of city

By Tanseem Haider: The Delhi Police arrested three auto lifters for stealing cars and other items from different parts of the city. The accused, identified as Mohd Chand Alam, Shane Alam and Manish Kumar aka Monu have been nabbed by the police.

The police also recovered five stolen Honda City cars, two TSRs, one card of the Delhi crime team, one high-security number plate, and tools used in auto theft from their possession.

TRAP LAID TO NAB CULPRITS

On November 24, the police received a complaint regarding the theft of a Honda City car in the New Friends Colony area. The complainant named Rahul Anand had filed a complaint against the auto lifters.

The case was transferred to the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) team in Southeast District for necessary action.

The police received a tip that one of the auto lifters would come to Pusta road in the same stolen car to fix a deal for selling it.

A trap was laid and the police were able to nab the accused named Mohd Chand Alam. Based on his statement, his other associates were caught.

With their arrest, four other cars were also recovered, along with other items.
